• Mark Davis gave a presentations and discussions on:
  • Newly installed Avaya PBX/Voicemail system that is running in virtual machines (Xen) under CentOS.
  • Connecting to MS-Windows from Linux through RDP using rdesktop. It is a great casual option but cannot yet replace Citrix since it doesn't support true seamless windowing (in RDP 6).
  • Concerns/opinions about the concept of using Wayland in place of X.
• Jason Cooper gave a presentation on Screen and how it can make life easier on *ix systems (and has for so many years).

Attendance: 15 members + 1 new + 1 returning + 1 visitor = 18 attendees, minimum.

Membership: 71 members + 1 new member (Cooper) + 1 returning member (Shirer) - 4 expired (Duffus,Harrison,Holtom,Jarvis) = 69 TWUUG members.
