From TWUUG

  • Tim Kramer gave a presentation on HackRF One, an open-source hardware, software-defined radio. It is capable of transmission or reception of radio signals from 1 MHz to 6 GHz and can be used as a USB peripheral or programmed for stand-alone operation.
  • Tim also showed GNU Radio and GNU Radio Companion, open-source toolkits and development environments for interfacing with software-defined radios. Companion can be used with a full GUI in Linux to automatically create runnable python programs.
