The TWUUG mail list (excluding the "ot" list) is a special-purpose forum for UNIX and UNIX-related topics. These topics include commercial UNIX's, any BSD, any Linux, Unix portions of Mac OS X, and others. Please feel welcome to ask clear, well-formed, researched questions and to respond and share your knowledge; we all learn much from each other.  Here are some additional [[list topics]] thoughts.

As a consideration to others (and especially those who read the list in digest form), please be courteous and follow established net etiquette practices, especially regarding avoiding test messages, trimming replies, eliminating HTML encoding, proper quotation and attribution of messages, and avoiding message attachments.

If you have subscription questions, you can examine the mail headers for additional information on how to unsubscribe, check the TWUUG website mail list page, or contact the list administrator directly. You could even contact someone off the list for advice, directly, but always keep private conversations private.

Please stay on topic in the twuug@twuug.org list. If you would like to ask questions or discuss things that are not Unix/Linux/FOSS related, please do so in the ot@twuug.org list.  It is also appropriate to move threads that drift from being on-topic to the ot list.

Introduction

TWUUG had maintained an Email mailing list for almost as long as there has been Internet Email and it served as the main "glue" that held the group together for many years. In late 2012 we introduced the newer, web-based TWUUG Forums as an additional communications option and possible list replacement. And a year later in 2013, we retired the mailing lists.

List Archives

Even though the mailing lists no longer exist, the mailing list archives are still available for viewing. You may view each list's archives by going through the TWUUG-List WebSite.

Otherwise, you may visit each list's archives directly by going to:

Archives prior to 1998 were removed/lost because conversion was too costly.
